the lack of time…

it’s pretty much been like a million years since I have written anything here about the goings on in my life. to tell the truth I have just been too busy. I started a new job. nothing fancy, nothing glamorous. but it’s easy and it’s close to home. plus, I work only four hours a day “hrm…only four hours a day and and you still don’t have time to write?” you say? well lets not forget, I have a little toddler running around the house now. oh right, T-Rex had a birthday two months ago did I tell you? and since then, he has grown a foot a day. I’m constantly running after him (whether it’s playing or just picking up after him) and it’s quite the workout.

and the school year has started so The Husband is back at work now. they moved him to a new grade and threw on an extra subject to teach. the joy! but he’s been really optimistic about the new year. what else what else…oh! I think I hate chicken meat now. don’t tell my brother, the president of the I Love Chicken club, he’d probably disown me. I prefer tofu now (not the stinky kind).

well besides all of that and the usual shenanigan that we find ourselves getting into, there’s nothing new.

9:20am this morning she boarded her plane towards the Big Apple. off to start a new career and to be with the one she loves. she has been with me through thick and thin and she stuck with me when everyone else turned their back on me. she always managed to make me laugh. she was always there for me to cry on. and she was always there to have a drink.

Oh, it must be Halloween…

this Halloween didn’t really feel like Halloween at all. maybe because it snuck up on me and bit me in the arse. I didn’t have much planned, with this being my first Halloween as a mommy and all. little Ian was too young to take out trick-or-treating so we just stayed home and gave out candy. it played Halloween on AMC all day. I wish they had chose to play Hellrasier all day instead, at least that film scared the shit out of me. or Nightmare on Elm Street. Halloween doesn’t even make me laugh. now if a horror movie doesn’t scare me or make me laugh, then it’s gotta suck. anyways…I’m out of stuff to say.

Oot and Aboot

finally a day out! the family and I went up to Dahlonega (north Georgia) for a day of gold and gemstone mining.

first we start with a bucket of dirt…

then we move to the sifter…

and viola! rocks.

then we visited Boggs Creek for some REAL gold mining…

…and as you can see we found none, but we did find Solomon the salamander!

No baby soon?

well I am three days late, as far as my due date goes. I went to get an ultra sound today and they said everything with little T Rex is fine, he’s just being a stubborn baby and doesn’t want to come out just yet. I wish I had a picture of his ultra sounds from today (because he’s huge now!) but they said that he wasn’t facing the ultra sound…machine…thing so they didn’t print one out. besides, I’ll be seeing him in real life soon anyways, real soon…hopefully.

 but here are some previous ultra sounds:

come on little T-Rex

A couple of more weeks until I pop this baby out. Jason and I are very excited about bringing little T-Rex into this world. Hey we still need a few more baby items, like a stroller, another car seat, and um…a new house.  So if any of you want to contribute…feel free to just send those items to my doorstep. And some chocolate chip cookies with milk dangit! I’m a hungry woman!
