peanut butter squids!

found these at the farmer’s market this morning. it had a settle peanut butter flavour which disappointed me ( I was hoping for a kick of PB in my mouth),  but they’re rather tasty. and they’re really chewy too, my jaw started hurting after a while. a box of these and a pork tamale made a satisfying breakfast

snack crazy! or is it a crazy snack?

Another weekend gone and another wonderful trip to the Buford Highway Farmers Market. From frozen pork brains to sesame seed pancakes, I absolutely love this place! So here are this week’s find:

Not really sure what this says but from the picture I presumed that it was a cookie dipped in chocolate and shaped to look like little tree trunks

And I was right. They were delicious!

I’ve had Dadu ice cream before and I swore that it was the most amazing vanilla ice cream I had ever tasted; rich, creamy, and Light. So I decided to try another one of their products, the Dadu Roll. It certainly did not stand up to my expectations. the waffle roll was chewy and tough and the vanilla ice cream in the middle didn’t taste anything like the Dadu vanilla ice cream I was use to. I don’t recommend this.

Spam, we all know this product. I bought this not to eat, but to save as a collector’s item.

Ramune Soda (peach flavour). Now this is an interesting soda, not because of it’s taste but because of how you have to open it. But I’ll get to that later.  This soda is so lightly carbonated compared to American sodas such as Coke or Pepsi and that is why I love it. And it’s peach flavour isn’t too empowering or sweet.

now to the part where I open the soda…

Atop the soda bottle is what they call “the plunger”. And inside the bottle, at the very top, is a marble. you use the plunger to push down on the marble until the marble drops into the neck of the bottle. the marble will remain in the neck because the neck has been “pinch in”. I’m getting better at this process. the first time I tried my hand at this, the soda squirted all over me. Ooh and here’s a video!
